#PerfectlyImperfectLab
Led by Dr. Jessica Rohlfing Pryor, the Perfectly Imperfect Lab at Northwestern University predominantly examines maladaptive expressions and features of perfectionism (e.g., personality, interpersonal style) and their implications for interpersonal functioning (e.g., intimacy, self-disclosure, help-seeking). Through research and outreach we aim to bring community awareness to the 'silent epidemic' of unhealthy perfectionism.
"The perfectionist's paradox is when, with the goal of avoiding rejection, we utilize relational strategies that actually increase the likelihood of relationship strain and rejection. This can be a lonely, lonely existence." ~Jessica Rohlfing Pryor, PhD
